It shouldn't surprise anybody that Vegas tried to recapture the style-over-substance decadence of NYC's famously doomed Studio 54. The MGM Grand edition vaunts the same devil-may-care attitude, and hordes of beautiful young things crowd in every night to shake their moneymakers as the house DJ spins the hottest techno, Top 40, house and R&B music on the planet. Indeed the club's four levels offer a Dantean lesson in all things chic and trendy – posh leather couches, warehouse-themed decor, smoke machines, and (lest anyone forget the place's lineage) the moon that hung over the door of the original Studio 54. Keep your eyes peeled – you may just run into a few celebrities or at least some wannabes.
